Funded principally by the Community Sport Activation Fund from Sport England, the partnership between Central Beds Council and Our Parks is the first initiative of its kind outside of London and will make use of two green spaces in the area.

These are the Recreation Ground in Arlesey and Eagle Farm Road in Biggleswade.

Each park will host a series of one-hour classes per week – with activities such as yoga, bootcamp, boxfit, social sports and more – all led by experienced, qualified and insured instructors to cater for all levels of experience, from beginner to expert.

All residents need to do is sign-up at www.ourparks.org.uk, browse for classes in their area, book a place and then attend – all for free.

Cllr Brian Spurr, Executive Member for Community Services, said: “We’re delighted to have teamed up with Our Parks for this exciting new initiative. Our Community Physical Activity Team does a great job in helping to improve the health of our residents.”
