First Capital Connect (FCC), which runs the trains passing through Sandy, Biggleswade and Arlesey, is looking for five new apprentices between the ages of 16 and 23.

They will be trained to gain an NVQ Level Two and Three in customer service and they will have a guaranteed job after a year.

The apprentices will be working in a number of customer service roles including ticket office sales, revenue protection, train despatch and department support.

Keith Jipps, FCC’s customer service director, said: “School and University is not a one size fits all solution. Apprenticeships are the perfect way to learn new skills whilst starting a career and our programme is aimed at those with no prior experience or qualifications. ”
