Liebherr GB golden celebration: pictures

The company, occupying a site on Stratton Business Park since 1994, marked the special anniversary in style with a hospitality function for customers and invited guests.

Dr Willi Liebherr and Isolde Liebherr, who jointly manage the global Liebherr Group based in Switzerland, were in attendance - Mr Liebherr delivered a speech and raised a beer glass to 50 years of success.

Director Paul Robson welcomed guests to the function and gave them an overview of the company’s history and continued growth.

They were joined on stage by star guest Jake Humphrey, presenter of BBC TV’s Formula One coverage, and Henning Wehn, the German Comedy Ambassador to Great Britain.

Liebherr GB manufacture, sell, service and repair a range of construction equipment.

On Saturday it was the turn of Biggleswade employees to enjoy a family fun day at the Liebherr site.
