Litter in road was pick of the day for club!

ROTARIANS and schoolchildren teamed up for a day of litter picking.

Members of the Rotary Club of Biggleswade Ivel were joined by youngsters from Ivel Valley School in the town for the clear-up last Friday (February 24).

The exercise was arranged as part of the Rotary Spring Clean, which encourages Rotarians to identify areas near them which are in need of some extra care and attention.

Ivel Valley School pupils also took part as the school wanted to give something back to the community.

A spokesman for the club said: “We concentrated on London Road, from close to the junction with Eagle Farm Road to where it meets the roundabouts by the A1.

“We picked up a lot of litter.”
