Make a baby happy with a real nappy!

Real Nappy Week 2013 will be launched at a special event in Chronicle Country on Monday (April 15).

The Orchard Children’s Centre in Shefford will be the venue for the Nappucino day.

Visitors will have the opportunity to find out more about real, washable nappies while meeting other parents and having a cup of coffee.

The event is being hosted by the Bedfordshire Real Nappy Library, a not-for-profit organisation that provides a hire service for parents who want to try real nappies.

It will run from 10am to noon and there will be a raffle, refreshments and lots of advice on real nappies if this is required.

All donations go back into the library, helping it to expand and provide more nappies for others to trial.

Both Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire Councils support the scheme.

This year, as well as supporting the Nappuccino event, Central Beds Council’s recycling team is encouraging parents to save money and reduce waste by ditching the disposables and using washable nappies on their babies.
