Man escapes armed robbers

A driver managed to escape from robbers who approached his car and threatened him with a crowbar.

The man was driving down Hitchin Street in Biggleswade in the early hours of Sunday, November 11 when he saw a white van parked in the middle of the road with its headlights on full beam.

Two men then got out of the vehicle with one holding what appeared to be a crowbar.
