Man hit by train in Biggleswade
Police were called to Biggleswade Railway Station just after 9.30am this morning (Wednesday, February 8).

Hide AdParamedics and police are at the scene and the footbridge over the line has been cordoned off.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “BTP were called to the lines at Biggleswade rail station on Wednesday, 8 February following a report of a man being struck by a train.
“The incident was reported to police at 9.31am. BTP attended alongside officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary.

Hide Ad“Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“Officers are currently working to establish the man’s identity and inform his next of kin.”

Hide AdThe train involved was the 7am service from Hull to Kings Cross.
Some trains have been cancelled and others are not stopping at Biggleswade until at least noon.
