Marking children’s holiday club’s 30 years

YOUNGSTERS and staff at a holiday club have celebrated the scheme’s 30th anniversary.

The Junior Youth Club at Gamlingay Village College ran all last week and concluded on Friday (August 10).

Children play games, cook, do arts and crafts and generally have fun every year during the summer break. As well as organised activities they also played snooker, table tennis and football and used Lego, the Wii and other toys.

Older teenagers often return to the scheme to help with the younger children.

Our photographer, Tracey Goodacre, caught up with some of the children while they were baking orange spiced biscuits on Tuesday (August 7).

The main anniversary celebrations took place on Friday.
