Mayor’s thanks for town’s help

Sandy mayor Councillor Susan Sutton has thanked businesses and organisations who have supported her in fundraising.

Mrs Sutton has delivered thank you certificates to businesses and has also presented awards and thanked everyone who has helped her in 2012/13.

The awards included one for the 1st Sandy Scout Group for their help in organising the Jubilee event on the Pinnacle, and looking after the visitors at the Civic Service.

The Air Training Corps were given their second award for also supporting Mrs Sutton at her charity garden party, and providing the guard of honour at the recent civic service. Individual awards went to the performers at the Mayor’s garden party.
