The Hall For All voluntary group in Potton is working hard to bring to reality a community hall for the town, which will be available for local groups as well as for wedding receptions and conferences.

There will be a meeting for prospective user groups and other interested parties on Monday (July 21). It will be in the Mill Lane pavilion at 7pm.

The committee is looking for information about the space and facilities that groups will need including for storage.

They would also like to know about the pros and cons of groups’ current facilities.

Additionally they hope to collate information about when groups regularly meet and how often the hall would be needed for occasional events.

Potential users can also give information about how much they would expect to pay to hire the hall.

Phill Banks, vice chairman of the committee, said: “We want to make sure that the hall we build meets the needs of most people for the maximum amount of time. The information will also feed into the cost model and the business plan.”
