Minister Trevor sad to say goodbye after eight years

The Reverend Trevor Homfray-Cooper will lead his last service at Biggleswade Pentecostal Church on 
Sunday (June 30), before moving to a new church in Lincoln.

Trevor will move to Lincolnshire with his wife Zoe, daughter Martha, 16 and son Josiah, 13 after living in Mountbatten Drive, Biggleswade since he arrived in the town.

Mr Homfray-Cooper is sad to be leaving the town where he has made so many friends and he has been touched by the good wishes he has 
received.

He said: “Just the other day the ministers from the other churches took me out to lunch, which was lovely.”

“We have around 45 members of the congregation at the church so it is quite close -knit and we have made a lot of close contacts in our time here.”

Mr Homfray-Cooper was living in Ware, Herts and was working as a chemist when he had a calling from God.

He said: “My wife and I both had the same experience and I enrolled at Bible College, completing a BA Hons degree in theology.

“I started as a minister soon after that, when I found out that they had a vacancy at the Biggleswade Pentecostal Church.”

Mr and Mrs Homfray-Cooper have run a variety of clubs for children and teenagers in their time at the church, and they have also spent time at schools in the area.

Parishioner Alan Dansey will take over at the church 
until a permanent replacement is found.
