Musical notes this summer

Central Bedfordshire Council has announced that the bands and orchestras will go ahead in the new look music service.

Young musicians have attended the courses, which consist of several intensive days of rehearsals ending in a concert, for many years.

Nick Wood, chairman of the Bedfordshire Music Trust, said: “Given the uncertainties over recent months I’m delighted that we’ve been able to secure this event with the help of both authorities and local community groups.

“We’ve had a tremendous response from students.”
