Narrow escape from gas blaze

A GAS canister burst into flames and scorched a front door after arsonists targeted a home.

The incident occurred on Friday (April 8) when someone placed a small camping stove and the gas canister at the entrance to the property in Greenfields, Shillington.

It happened between 2.20am and 2.25am. The owner was awoken by the noise and managed to kick the canister away before any further damage was caused.
