Gamlingay Parish Council has applied to South Cambs District Council to designate the village as a ‘Neighbourhood Area’, which will mean it can go on to prepare a neighbourhood plan.

A neighbourhood plan is an initiative giving communities power to prepare a planning document that includes a shared vision for their neighbourhood. They can set out policies on the development and use of land and have weight in deciding planning applications.
