New councillor takes a post
RESIDENTS of Sandy have a new representative on the town council.
There was a vacancy in the Pinnacle Ward as there were too few candidates in the May elections. Town councillors selected a new member on Monday.
Four candidates spoke at the meeting before councillors chose Julia Smyth of Kestrel Way, Sandy in a closed ballot.
