New Deputy Lieutenants appointed
FOUR new Deputy Lieutenants have been appointed by Bedfordshire Council.
Sir Samuel Charles Whitbread, Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire signed the commissions at the beginning of this month.
The establishment currently has 30 Deputy Lieutenants and one Lord Lieutenant.

Hide AdThe new Deputy Lieutenants are Mrs Rosie Gutteridge JP, Major Simon Nigel Swinburne Sadler, Professor Leslie Colin Ebdon CBE and Louise Rona Russell, The Duchess of Bedford.
Lord Lieutenants are The Queen’s representatives in their counties and areas and they are generally involved with voluntary activities.
Deputy Lieutenants work alongside them to support community activities in Bedfordshire. They also take part in civic and social activities and citizenship ceremonies.
