The proposal will provide a range of family and starter homes of different sizes, including market and affordable housing, and will make a positive contribution to local needs.

After submitting the planning application, Endurance Estates Managing Director Tim Holmes, said: “I would like to thank everyone who took part in our consultation, and we have appreciated the opportunity to speak to people within the local community, councillors and other stakeholders, which has helped us to refine our scheme.

“We hope that the improvements we have made to our plans are well-received. There is a proven acute shortage of housing in South Cambridgeshire, and our scheme presents an excellent opportunity to deliver high quality new homes for the local community.”

The proposed new homes will be repositioned to protect the boundary with existing properties and create a new soft green landscaped southern edge to the village.

The scheme will provide areas of open space and a new wildlife habitat area to improve local biodiversity.
