Nominate a volunteer for cheering awards

Nominations are open for awards which celebrate the dedication of volunteers.

This year’s Central Bedfordshire Cheering Volunteering Awards will be presented on June 7 to say thank you to those who give their time to help others.

The event is being organised by Central Bedfordshire Council and Central Bedfordshire’s Volunteer Centres.

It is the second staging of the event following last year’s inaugural celebration which saw 400 people attend the ceremony and almost 100 nominations across the different categories.

This year there will again be seven awards – and you can make nominations in six of the categories:

Young Volunteer of the Year

Volunteer of the Year

Volunteer Group of the Year

Outstanding Contribution

Lifetime Achievement

Fundraiser of the Year

Panel’s Choice - selected from nominations received.
