Number plates to be police’s focus
A CAMPAIGN has been launched against illegal numberplates.
Bedfordshire Police, Hertfordshire Constabulary and Cambridgeshire Constabulary have joined forces for Operation Dragon.
This will see officers from Automatic Number Plate Recognition Intercept Teams and Roads Policing Units clamping down on the use of misrepresented number plates. Anyone whose number plate does not meet the DVLA’s criteria could face a fine of up to £1000.
