Pre-loved items of clothing, furniture and toys are desperately needed to support Garden House Hospice Care.

HBC Logistics Ltd, is asking people to deliver donations to its new facility in Stratton Business Park, Biggleswade, between now (October 26) and Sunday, October 30.

Donations will then be provided to the Letchworth hospice's shops, which shops raise a third of the charitable income required to provide its free specialist, palliative care services for patients and families across North Hertfordshire and South Bedfordshire.

A spokesman for HBC Logistics said: “Garden House Hospice Care is in urgent demand for stock for its 12 shops across the region, including pre-loved furniture, clothing and toys. Therefore, we are using our nationwide connections and the power of social media to ask our customers and local community to please get involved.

“Our Donations Week provides a flexible seven-day time frame to drop your donations off quickly and easily.”

So far, HBC Logistics Ltd has raised £4,663.25 for Garden House Hospice Care during 2022 through a number of fundraising initiatives. It has a target of reaching £10,000 by the end of the year.

Donations that can be accepted during HBC Logistic Ltd’s Donations Week:

> Good quality clothes and footwear, including wedding dresses, bridesmaids outfits, evening and prom wear along with belts, bags and accessories.

> Books, CDs, vinyls, records, DVDs and tapes (originals only)

> Toys and games, including video games, consoles and controllers

> Duvets, pillows & bed linen (in sealed packets as sold)

> Antiques, collectables, clocks, artwork and ornaments

> Small electrical items in working order, along with laptops, tablets and Kindles.
