Pictures: Party on Potton 2012

Party on Potton, which is held once every two years, is a fabulous community celebration – and this time was no exception.

Roger Jordan, chairman of the Party on Potton committee, said: “It was fantastic. The feedback we are getting is absolutely brilliant. We had some wonderful events.”

Twenty talented individuals and groups performed in Potton’s Got Talent, which was broadcast live on Biggles FM. It was even listened to by local soldiers who are currently in Afghanistan!

Young skatepark users voluntarily spruced up the facility before a BMX, scooter and skateboard contest. Other highlights included a wheelie bin race, a magic and illusion night and music from German band, Sound Express.

There was also a parade of floats, as can be seen in the pictures.

Roger added: “I want to say a massive thank you to the committee and the people of Potton. It’s astonishing; they’ve given their time up and it’s all voluntary.”
