Police give burglary advice

Police in Sandy were making people aware of Neighbourhood Watch

They knocked on doors and talked to members of the community about keeping safe from crime and what they could do to prevent burglaries.

The emphasis was on home security. The Police tried particularly hard to raise interest in Neighbourhood Watch as seen in the picture above.

Councillor Teresa Cole, Lynn Arch, a Neighbourhood Support Officer and Ken Lynch, the Area Coordinator, were all present at the event speaking to all those who attended.

There was also number plate securing, bike and property marking and community speed watch at the event.
