Colin takes on role as Sandy's mayor

Councillor Colin Osborne has been elected as the new Mayor of Sandy, with and Councillor Michael Scott to serve as his deputy.

The appointments were rubber stamped at the Annual Meeting of Sandy Town Council on Monday ( May 9)

Councillor Osborne takes over from Councillor Will Jackson who has completed two years as Town Mayor.

Cllr Osborne, who has served as mayor on several other occasions said: “I am honoured to take on the office of Mayor and am looking forward to the year ahead.”

At the annual meeting, members extended their thanks to Councillor Jackson and his wife for all they have done over the last two years.
