Quads are model students for supermarket!

THE UK’s only identical quadruplets have been signed up to model a supermarket’s school uniform range.

Sainsbury’s have assigned Ellie, Georgie, Holly and Jessica Carles with the task of testing their Back TU School range.

The five-year-olds began testing the uniforms before the school holidays and continued to wear them throughout the summer. They will be giving feedback to Sainsbury’s throughout the academic year with their mother, Julie Carles,

Sainsbury’s approached the Carles after seeing the docummentary about the quadruplets.

While the girls are too young to really understand the whole concept they did recognise themselves on the Sainsbury’s TV advert.

Head of Sainsbury’s Childrenswear, John Carolan said: “We’re delighted to have Ellie, Georgie, Holly and Jessica on board and look forward to four sets of opinions over the coming months.”

The items of clothing have continued to impress 42-year-old Julie who said: “So far, every item has surpassed my expectations, standing up to constant washing and ironing. I now have peace of mind their uniforms will stand the test of time.”

The quads first began school at Caldecote Lower last year in September.

To help teachers tell them apart, Julie used to write the initials of the girls’ first names on their shirt collars.

However, staff found it easier to tell them apart as each day went by.

Getting the girls ready in the morning for school can be quite tough, said Julie: “ I wake the girls up at 7am to begin the routine of getting ready. “None of them want to get changed first so they play eenie meenie minie mo to see who will have to get dressed first.

“I then have to make their breakfasts and as well as having to make four different things I then have to clean up the mess they make.

After that I clean their teeth and do their hair which is the hardest part. Before walking them to school I then get all their packed lunches and school bags ready.”

While the girls are like any other normal children their mother said they are looking forward to going back to school.

She added: “They’re quite excited to go back this year as they’re going to have a new teacher.

“I think they will enjoy this school year more as they will be going into year one so it will slightly more challenging for them.”

The girls were born on March, 23, 2006 to Julie and Jose Carles, 38. Their arrival beat odds of 64 million to one and they are one of the only 27 sets of conceived identical quads in the world.
