Queen's 90th birthday celebrations commemorated with beacon lighting in Sandy
Residents in Sandy are invited to a beacon lighting ceremony celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday, on Thursday, April 21.
The event begins inthe Market Square at 6.45pm with live music and refreshments before a procession, led by the Sandy Reunion Band and guide and scout groups, at around 7.30pm to the Sandhills. The beacon will be lit at around 8.10pm to co-ordinate with other beacons around the country. For details contact the council offices on 01767 681491.
