Range of music on offer this weekend

As always there is plenty of choice for Chronicle Country music lovers this weekend.

On Friday at 9pm BrianJ will perform his swing, jazz and melody at the Roundabout Club in Sandy which will cost £2 for non-members.

Also, on Friday, Amy Amz will be at the Shefford Memorial Hall from 9:30pm. This event is free.

Amy has been singing live for over eight years now and sings covers of huge artists such as Katy Perry, Rihanna, Madonna, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, and Adele.

At the Red Lion in Biggleswade on Friday from 9pm to 11pm Nick Moyster Acoustic, Tequilla Mockingbrid and Khorosho will all take to the stage for free.

Nick will perform some chilled out acoustic songs before Tequilla Mockingbird up the energy and Khorosho perform their covers.

Moving on to Saturday there are musical acts performing in Potton, Sandy and Henlow.

Huggy Flares will be at the Potton and District Club from 9pm with tickets costing £5.

Huggy Flares are established as one of the area’s funkiest and fun soul and disco bands, performing classics from the legends of the 1960s soul era, plus 1970s funk and disco favourites.

Also on Saturday Almost Abba will take to the stage at The Roundabout Club in Sandy from 9pm.

The group are known for covering Abba but they also delve into glam rock and disco favourites, and even one or two more recent songs as well.

Similarly, The Ouse Valley Singles Club, a comedy band, will perform at The Engineers Arms in Henlow from 9pm.

Both of these events will be free.
