Readers helped spread Christmas joy to needy families

Needy families in Chronicle Country had a joyous Christmas thanks to generous readers.

The Families in Need Appeal toys and foods were packed at Sandy Baptist Church on Saturday, December 22.

The Norman Cub Pack from Sandy helped to prepare the hampers.

They were assisted by scout leader Andrew Woods, project organiser Ken Lynch, Chronicle editor Jim Stewart and local dignitaries including MP for North East Beds Alistair Burt. Mike Miskelly and Richard Crow from Muscle and Motor took all of the goods to the church.

Ken wants to thank everyone who has contributed to the project including Beegos sandwich shop, The Jordans & Ryvita Company and all our readers.
