Remember, remember fireworks night

Rockets, Catherine wheels and Roman candles – it’s almost time for fireworks night.

There are plenty of displays for you to chose from in Chronicle Country this year. Here are just a few for you to consider.

The 1st Sandy Scout Group’s display will be on Saturday, November 3 at The Sand Pit in Cambridge Road, Sandy.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks display will start at 7.30pm.

There will also be refreshments and children’s rides.

Tickets cost £4 if bought on or before Friday, November 2 from scout group leaders, Sandy Post Office shop, the TIC, Bridge Farm Shop, Londis in Fallowfield, Mama’s or the Queen’s Head. They cost £7 on the day.

Also on Saturday, November 3, there will ben a bonfire night at St Mary’s Church field in Potton.

Gates open at 6pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and there will be fireworks from 7.15pm.

There will also be a barbecue and refreshments. Adults cost £5 and children cost £1.

The White Hart Hotel in Shefford will be holding a bonfire and fireworks night on Saturday, November 3.

The gates will be opened at 7pm and the display will start at 8pm.

Anyone wanting to see a display in Biggleswade can go along to Edward Peake Middle School on fireworks night itself, Monday, November 5.

Gates open and the bonfire will be lit at 6pm with fireworks at 7pm.

There will be a barbecue and other refreshments.

Tickets in advance cost £15 for a family, £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. Tickets on the gate cost £18 for a family, £6 for adults and £4 for concessions.
