Rhythm Festivals 2012 is cancelled

The annual festival was due to take place at The Mansion House in Old Warden Park over the Bank Holiday weekend, August 24 to 26.

Organisers say they have fought long and hard to put on the festival but a series of factors, including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Olympics and economic downturn have made it impossible to stage this year.

Headline acts booked to play at the festival included Booker T, Hawkwind and punk legends The Damned.

The organisers are now hoping to put on the festival next year, and tickets for this year’s event will still be valid for the one in 2013.

Alternatively ticket-holders will be offered a full refund, and those who have booked online over the last 10 days but whose order has not yet been processed will be automatically refunded.
