Road’s white lines will not be restored
Angry villagers believe a road’s lack of white lines is dangerous.
Central Beds Council resurfaced Sutton Road from Sutton to Dunton without repainting the white lines.
Andy Kaye of Sutton said: “This road has a 60mph speed limit on it but it’s not lit so if cars come round the bends quickly at night and can’t see which side of the road they are on accidents are going to become very likely.”
Central Beds councillor Brian Spurr said the council is reducing the overuse of white lines and road signs, putting them only where there is a particular need to make them stand out for drivers.
