Saving Gamlingay Village College

DETERMINED parents have stepped up their campaign to save Gamlingay Village College after more than 100 people declared their support.

The closure has been suggested by Cambridgeshire County Council.

Parents held their first meeting on Saturday and 111 parents, governors and other interested parties turned up.

Sam Watkins, who organised the meeting, said: “It went really well for our first meeting and we are going to catch more people at this week’s meeting.

“It was more than we could have asked for and it was definitely worthwhile because it brought parents together.”

Another meeting will be held tomorrow (Saturday, April 23) at Gamlingay Village College at 9.30am.
