Search for new 2015 royal family begins

The event will take place at the Sandy Roundabout Club where entrants should arrive by 1pm dressed up as a Prince or Princess.

Entrants must be aged between seven and 11 years old on June 13, 2015.

They must also be available to attend the Sandy Carnival procession on June 13 where they will judge the parade entries and will attend many other events during the forthcoming year.

During the competition, each entrant will be asked some questions and the panel judges will then choose the winners.

A presentation will take place to close the afternoon.

The winners will also be asked to switch on the Sandy Christmas lights later in the year.

Teresa Cole, Committee member for the Sandy Carnival, said: “What a fabulous opportunity for any boy or girl!

“The chance to represent the town by holding the title of Prince or Princess is something that any child and parent will be proud of.

“Being a part of Sandy’s history in such a public way is something they will remember for years to come.”
