Shop then talk about the town

TOMORROW is the first Saturday of the month and this means it’s time to stock up on your local produce.

There will be plenty of food to buy at the farmers’ market including meat and meat products, jams and chutneys, homemade pies, fruit and vegetables and bread. The market will be held in Sandy Market Square so why not support the enterprise by paying a visit to the stalls between 9am and 1pm?

The farmers’ market is in addition to the usual Friday market, which you can make your purchases from in Sandy Car Park today.

The Sandy Town Council offices will also be open tomorrow (Saturday, September 3) from 10am to noon.

This is your chance to discuss any thoughts, concerns or ideas about the town with the people who are best positioned to make a difference.

There will be at least one councillor and one member of office staff.

You can also pick up a Riddy Fishing Licence or a bus pass application form.

Additionally the Roman Sandy Exhibition will be open during this period.

These events are on the first Saturday of the month so why not put the dates in your diary now?
