Another shop in Chronicle Country also had an opening celebration.

On Thursday, November 29 Budgens in Sandy Market Square officially launched its new look store.

The shop is smaller now that the original building has been divided in two.

Community stalwart Ken Lynch cut the ribbon alongside regular Budgens customer, Maisie Smith.

Budgens asked Ken to open the store because he has been a volunteer community project worker in the town for many years.

Ken said that Budgens has always generously assisted him with his project work.
