So much in straw at Shillington festival
PRIZES were on offer for the most impressive straw creations at a village festival at the weekend (Saturday to Monday, August 27 to 29).
The Shillington Scarecrow Festival drew crowds from around the area and there were more than 40 entries.
Prizes were awarded for the best scarecrows made by adults and children. Festival goers could also enjoy ploughman’s lunches and tea and cake.
