Another road closure will be Broom High Street, where residents will be enjoying a day of fun and activities.

Party-goers can watch the Royal Wedding on a giant screen from 11am, and there will be children’s races, a jewel hunt, a fancy dress competition, a tug of war and music throughout the afternoon.

At Millennium House in Biggleswade, meanwhile, the house committee and the Water Adventure Cadre youth organisation will be hosting a joint afternoon tea.

Pupils at Shillington Lower School will also be celebrating the occasion at a party of their own on Thursday (April 28), while youngsters at the Biggleswade Pentecostal Church Groundbreakers Kids’ Club will also be celebrating on the same day.
