Spooktacular family fun this half-term week

Central Beds Council is organising some free family fun events with a difference during the half-term holidays.

From Monday, October 27 to Thursday, October 30, families are invited to tackle the Xplorer challenge, at Chambers Way Park, in Biggleswade.

Using a simple map, people taking part have to find a number of markers that are hidden around the park. At each marker children need to identify what is pictured and can enjoy learning a fun fact to tell their friends.

There will be some spooky surprises ahead of Halloween, which takes place on the Friday of half-term.

With all the markers hidden around the enclosed park, it is perfect for all ages to have fun in a safe environment, while no experience of map reading is needed to take part.

Councillor Ian Dalgarno, Deputy Executive Member for Community Services, said: “There’s nothing like getting outside and having fun together as a family, and this is a great chance to do that.”

The free sessions will run between 10am and midday or 1pm and 3pm depending on which day you decide to attend.
