BT advises that residents should be able to receive the new service from approximately mid-December and can register now with their chosen provider for the service upgrade.

MP for North East Bedfordshire, Alistair Burt, said: “Cllr Richard Wenham and I have been aware of residents’ frustrations for some time, and have worked hard to ensure speeds are increased.

“This new development emphasises how most people now have high expectations of modern technology delivery, which I am keen for the area to meet.

“I am continuing to press for further improvements to the planned rural broadband network, as I am conscious that others may not yet be in the same position.

Councillor Richard Wenham, Deputy Executive Member for Corporate Resources, added: “After working over many months with BT Openreach, Taylor Wimpey and Martin Grant Homes, King’s Reach residents and Alistair Burt MP, I am delighted that from next month King’s Reach residents will be able to access superfast broadband.”
