Task Force set to take to the streets

Volunteers will be picking up litter and pulling out weeds in a town’s streets.

The Diamond Jubilee Central Bedfordshire Community Volunteer Task Force will be taking to the roads of Sandy from Monday onwards.

Residential roads in the town will be the target as community stalwart Ken Lynch – who runs the Task Force – helps to clear up the area.

Seetec – a firm which works closely with Jobcentre Plus to provide work placements for the unemployed – will be providing volunteers to complete the work.

Volunteers will also be helping to clear snow from driveways in Sandy and Biggleswade when the weather becomes colder in the coming months.
