Teddies’ day out at school

The Reception children at Maple Tree Lower School in Sandy marked the end of their bears topic with a teddy bears’ picnic. Families were also invited to join the fun.

As well as eating there were also a variety of activities for children and their parents to take part in including Easter crafts. The picnic had to be moved inside due to the unpleasant weather.

Throughout the spring term the children have been learning about bears, including a workshop where they made their own bears.

At the same time as the picnic two fathers, Mr Sammells and Mr Coats, put up a chicken coop with the children. The chickens will be a new addition to the school.
