Teen girl rescued after falling from cliff by Blue Lagoon near Arlesey

A teenage girl was rescued by emergency services on Monday after falling from a cliff close to the Blue Lagoon near Arlesey.

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called on Monday, August 10, at around 4.45pm to reports that a teenage girl had been injured near the Blue Lagoon, Arlesey.

"Emergency services attended and the girl was taken to hospital, but it’s not believed her injuries are life threatening, or life changing."

A Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue spokesman added: "[We] were called to reports of a fall incident at just before 5pm yesterday evening (10 August).

"Three full fire crews attended along with several specialist rescue vehicles to help assist the ambulance in rescuing a woman who had fallen to the bottom of a cliff in Hitchin Road, Arlesey.

"The fire service worked alongside paramedics and police and the woman was taken into the care of the ambulance service, following the rescue."
