Members of Biggleswade P3 group presented BRCC with a cheque for £2,716.

The cash will be used to produce a leaflet for the town’s emerging Green Wheel – a £250,000 environmental project which will see a pathway being created around Biggleswade, linking its routes and green spaces.

Part of the money will also be used to install a new bench in memory of two of the group’s former members: Rex Skinner and Julie Howard.

Mike Fayers of BRCC said: “We are very grateful to the P3 group.

“The leaflet will introduce the current and future features of the new Green Wheel which will provide a new circular corridor of green spaces and increased biodiversity for residents to enjoy.”

P3 – which stands for People, Projects and Partnerships – is a scheme managed by Central Bedfordshire Council whereby volunteer groups help to manage their local rights of way and open green areas.
