MORE than 60 gliders and their pilots will be taking part in a regional gliding contest.
Cambridge Gliding Centre, based at Gransden Lodge Airfield in Little Gransden will be the venue for the competition, which will run from Saturday, August 20 to Sunday, August 28, weather permitting.
Gliders and pilots will be flying cross-country distances each day of up to 200 miles at heights of up to 6,000 feet.
They will then return to Gransden Lodge Airfield for a spectacular 100mph dash across the finish line.
