The second application, which is expected to attract the most attention at the meeting, is seeking permission to construct a single 330kw wind turbine at Castle Farm in Hatley Road.

Leanne Bacon, clerk to the council, said: “We expect a lot of interest in the turbine so we will stagger the meeting; 7pm for the barns and 7.30 onwards for the wind turbine. We will be distributing forms for members of the public to leave their comments.”

The meeting will take place in the Hatley Village Hall on Monday (January 23).
