Village to hold parties for Jubilee

A VILLAGE has announced plans for its Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Stondon’s Big Weekend will include two days of activities and fun to mark the anniversary on the extended weekend of Saturday, June 2 to Tuesday, June 5.

On the Saturday there will be a fancy dress parade, cake competition, inflatables and a bouncy castle. There will also be a craft fair and a family disco.

On Saturday night there will be a hog roast, live band and a fireworks display. On Sunday there will be a special lunch and picnic, music and live bands, dancing and zumba.

All of the activities will take place in or next to the big marquee in Stondon Recreation Ground.
