Vintage plane in Old Warden crash

EMERGENCY services were called to a field near Old Warden after a vintage aircraft crashed during a practice in the run-up to an air display.

The pilot, a man aged 44, was not injured in the crash, which happened at around 10am on Sunday.

The Bucker Jungmann was due to take part in the Military Pageant Air Show later that day.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Thankfully on our arrival, a man escaped with no injuries and following assessments by paramedics, he did not require to go to hospital.”
