Visitors will have a ball in Potton!

VISITORS to a May Day event are sure to have a ball on Monday (May 2).

Potton Town Cricket Club is hosting its annual May Day Fete and will be welcoming a variety of organisations to the event at The Hollow.

As well as supporting the cricket club, visitors can also enjoy a display by Canine Partners, a charity that trains dogs to support and assist people with disabilities.

There will be a model of a mini funfair made entirely from the children’s construction material K’NEX, with donations being taken in support of Sue Ryder Care at St John’s Hospice, Moggerhanger.

The archery club Kestrels will be setting up its equipment for people to use, and there will also be a variety of church, club and community stalls and a car boot sale for visitors to enjoy.

Those who are looking for entertainment of a more high-octane nature can enjoy the rides at a funfair, while there will also be hot food, ice cream, tea and cakes.

The event will start at 11am, and entry will be £1.50 for adults, 50p for children and £4 for families.

Anyone who wants to sell items at the car boot sale can pay £5 for a car and £10 for a van.
