It will take place at 7.30pm at St Michael’s Church, Letchworth Garden City, which has an organ dating back to the 1870’s.

Alexander, the organ scholar at Southwark Cathedral, will accompany the choir in a performance of Stainer’s Crucifixion contrasted with Easter music by Elgar, Stanford and S.S. Wesley.

Joe Bolger, who will direct the concert, said: “There is a huge choice of Easter music but I wanted to balance the pain of the Crucifixion with the joy of the Resurrection revealing the varied vocal talents of the singers.”

Chair Elaine Fox said: “This is a really exciting phase for the choir giving opportunities to our audience to hear performances by high quality young talent. We hope you will come and enjoy it with us.”

Tickets are priced at £12 for adults, £8 for teens, pre-teens free, including a glass of wine or fruit juice, and can be bought from [email protected], by calling 01462 735642 or on the door. Visit www.vivacechoir.co.uk for more.
