Potton Hall for All is a volunteer led organisation who have applied for £25,000 to the Aviva Community Fund, with the help of MasterPolicy Insurance in Bigglewade, and they now need your votes.

In order to support the project you can visit www.community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/view/1205 and cast your vote.

Voting closes on May 30 and only those projects with the most votes will get through to the final stage.

Kim Gutteridge, one of the volunteers for the charity, said: “Potton is lively rural town buzzing with activity. We have lots of small venues but nothing large enough to meet the demands of clubs that are outgrowing their current homes.

“Some groups are so large they can no longer meet in Potton and others want to grow their membership but can’t. In addition there are no large spaces available for exercise and sporting activities, especially during the daytime.”

If successful Potton Hall for All will be able to finalise their design and planning project and unlock the £720,000 Section 106 money already allocated for the capital building phase by Central Beds Council.

Potton Councillor Adam Zerny said: “I’ve been hugely impressed by the efforts of the Potton Hall for All team and hope a new hall can bring benefits to all sections of the community in the future.”

Potton Hall For All cannot start the building phase until they have architect designs, accurate costing and full planning permission and your votes could help them in the coming weeks and months.

Kim added: “Some of the group helped launch the original project idea in 1994 and truly believe that this is our best and probably last opportunity to bring forward this community building for the people of Potton.

“Do your bit for your local community and vote for Potton Hall for All’s Design and Planning Project.
