Walking for health in Biggleswade

Take simple steps to be healthier.

Biggleswade Health Walks will help you to get fitter while meeting new people.

The weekly walks, organised by the Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC) as part of a national scheme managed by The Ramblers, are free and open to all. They will be of special interest to those who do not currently take much exercise.

Many of the walks include a stop at a local cafe for a drink.

The circular walks take place every Sunday and Wednesday, meeting at the Dan Albone Car Park in Shortmead Street, Biggleswade.

They usually last about 40 minutes. Led by local volunteers, people are encouraged to walk at their own pace, safe in the knowledge that they are walking with trained leaders, one of whom will remain at the back of the group with the slowest walkers.

Now that spring is in the air the walks will resume on Sunday (March 10). Sunday walks start at 2.30pm and Wednesday walks start at 10am.
